As those who have read the description on my Star-lance picture will know I've been going through my old movies and have decided my current approach to making movies sucks. Im too bogged down in trying to add meaning or subtext that i've forgotten that the focus of my job is to tell an entertaining story. I also seem to shrug away from large workloads or FX heavy stories because I worry id never complete them. My latest film, "Dragon's Pass" took nearly 3 months to complete because i simply couldn't muster the motivation.
Back in 2006, heavy workloads where not a problem, the EDF films are vast in in scope and the crazy amount of energy they have helps cover up some of the horrific acting and massive plot-holes. We explored a crashed ship at the bottom of the ocean, blew up a a planet, duelled pirates on the edge of black hole, went head to head with a submarine using an aircraft, the list goes on.
While I wouldn't say my latest films are bad, in fact i'm quite proud of them and the work that everyone helps put into them, it's just that its much harder to come up with them, and I find myself coming up with similar ideas again and again, its time to do something completely out there again and see if i still have it in me.
The old Chris is coming back. The beard/stubble has come off too (its kinda symbolic, roll with it). He's got better gear, better experience an array of new costumes and accessories and is slightly wiser.
In regards to my art, this may mean a decline in the number of pieces I do and will mean a growing number of original works as opposed to fan art (still going to do fan art just not as often) the reason for this being, I really want a proper job, concept artist being one of the avenues i'd like to tackle and Original works are worth 10 times more in your portfolio.
I'd also like to apologise if it takes me ages to respond to comments, I really appreciate people leaving comments and critiques and I try to respond to everyone, just it sometimes takes a while
Many thanks to everyone who supports me.
Also, check my films out on youtube, would love to get some feedback www.youtube.com/user/TB1fan
Star Wars models for DAZ
Images of available Star Wars models for your 3D rendering. Note that these are not downloads but, where possible, download links will be on the pages. Some are hi-res characters and clothing for G8 and G3 models, some are simple objects such as vehicles. I'm hoping this will be a fairly exhaustive look at both free and premium models available for Star Wars fans.

Dalek Stainley and Fandom Fatigue
So... This happened! Defiantly one of the highlights of this year. I got to design a new Dalek for Big Finish. How cool is that!? And here is something even weirder, I heavily redesigned a Dalek and the fandom actually liked it.
Admittedly, that is probably more down to the fact that it is a one off medieval stylised creation and also its stain glass and quite ornamental, but still, very pleased with Simon Holubs cover and how its been recieved. I'll put a better picture in the main section later.
In a weird twist, the overwhelming positive response to Dalek Stainly (Our little injoke name) has made me start thinking about the Gerry Anderso
