I've updated my Etsy! www.etsy.com/uk/shop/CTIllustr… in order to fuel my out of control bill paying habit. :)

Have a look to see if you see anything you like!

Courtesy of a cracked laptop screen I've decided to get an Etsy. Prints of two of my most popular images are up for sale. My Thunderbirds collage and my Mass Effect Normandy/Tempest Image. If you're interested then follow the link below and feel free to suggest any images you would like to see added.

Dalek Stainly by Chrisofedf

So... This happened! Defiantly one of the highlights of this year. I got to design a new Dalek for Big Finish. How cool is that!? And here is something even weirder, I heavily redesigned a Dalek and the fandom actually liked it.

Admittedly, that is probably more down to the fact that it is a one off medieval stylised creation and also its stain glass and quite ornamental, but still, very pleased with Simon Holubs cover and how its been recieved. I'll put a better picture in the main section later.

In a weird twist, the overwhelming positive response to Dalek Stainly (Our little injoke name) has made me start thinking about the Gerry Anderson fandom which i'm heavily involved in.

I have helped run the Fanderson Facebook group for the last 4 years and for the last 3 months I have co run the social media presence for Anderson Entertainment. Particularly of late it is starting to feel like an uphill struggle keeping people happy. Gerry himself was quite fond of saying "you can't keep everyone happy, just try to aim for most people." At the minute its starting to feel like no-one. If it wasn't my job i'd probably give it a break.

I kind of went into this knowing it's a barely functioning broken fanbase of people, who most of which are over 50. it's full of egos, old fueds, elitists and simply people who can't let go of nostalgia, so anything new is simply terrible.

I've been working with a team of awesome people on various projects who are committed to keeping the old style adventure of Ga's shows alive. We are producing some really cool stuff based on classic shows and brand new concepts. I just hope people check it out when it comes out and just don't bury their head in the sand because its not Thunderbirds...

If there is a moral to this ramble, I guess it's just keep making cool things and try not to let negative people drag you down.

An update :)

Just writing a few words as I haven't done one of these in a while and my artwork has been notably less frequent. Luckily, this is actually a good thing as i've been working on some rather funky professional projects, here's a quick roundup!

I attended Sci-fi wales to help promote Gerry Anderson's Gemini Force 1, my first ever panel and I felt well badass, unfortunately no footage or photos where taken so this event will seep into legend. Do check out GF1: Ghost mine though, its very good. :) www.amazon.co.uk/Gemini-Force-…

GF2 Liftoff by Chrisofedf

I'm currently working on Gerry Anderson's "Firestorm", can say absolutely zip about it but it's going to be cool :)

In another interesting development, I have been helping out with some of the Big Finish youtube stuff. Contributing models for Doctor Who, Only the Monstrous [link], and The Prisoner [link]

I've also been working with the legendary model maker and Cosplayer Richard Ashton providing 3d printable models ranging from Destiny guns, Thunderbirds and most recently a static version of the 12th Doctor's sonic. Give him a nudge if you want to commission one at : www.facebook.com/ItsAnAshton

And finally a big thank you to everyone who has liked, watched, shared and commented on my work over the last few years.

If you want to follow some of my finer ramblings check out my FB page. :) www.facebook.com/ChrisThompson…;
