Isn't listening to "Space Battleship Yamato" by composer Naoki Sato ...like the best soundtrack since 2010!?
Just got my copy yesterday, Saturday, -and it's been playing non-stop on my CD player and I'm lovin' every minute of it.
The tracks are so descriptive of the scene action -I once just had the movie running soundlessly on youtube and I can hear the music cues to the scenes I'm watching.

Love the theme where Yuki is stranded in space after a fighter battle and Kodai goes out to rescue her in the CosmoZero. A theme of "racing romance", as I call it.
